My Favorite Salad Dressings
While olive oil, lemon or apple cider vinegar, and salt go a long way, it’s nice to switch up your salad routine with delicious and nutritious dressings that are healthier than store bought dressings. Here are a few of my favorites.
Tahini Maple Dressing
- 4 tbsp tahini sesame paste
- 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 3 tbsp water (use more as needed to adjust
- consistency)
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp sea salt, or to taste
My favorite dressing ever! Just stir in a jar with a fork. Chickpea Blueberry Cabbage Salad.
Ginger Garlic Miso Tahini Dressing
- 1/3 cup tahini (or cashew butter)
- 1 heaping Tbsp grated ginger
- 2 cloves finely minced garlic
- 1 heaping tsp yellow or white miso paste
- 1 Tbsp Coconut aminos
- 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp maple syrup
- 2-3 Tbsp water
- 1 pinch sea salt
Lemon Garlic Cashew Sauce
- 1/2 cup cashews
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 lemon (juice and zest)
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Blend in high-speed blender until smooth.
Chia Honey Lemon
- 1 T chia seeds (soaked in ¼ cup water)
- 1 T honey
- ¼ c. lemon juice and zest
- 1 T olive oil
- fresh mint

Bitchin’ At Home Sauce
- 3/4 cup raw almonds or almond flour
- 1/2 cup water,
- 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 tsp tamari (low-sodium) or Braggs Liquid Aminos
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp coriander
- 1/4 tsp smokey paprika
- 1/2 cup water, more for thinner consistancy
Blend all ingredients in high-speed blender until smooth.

Almond Butter Sauce (great with zoodles)
- ½ c almond butter
- 3 T soy sauce (low sodium)
- 1 T honey
- 1 t toasted sesame oil
- 1 T lime juice
- S & P
This sauce is great with zoodles (zucchini noodles) and is the perfect blend of sweet, salty, savory, and citrusy. Process on Saladmaster cone #2 lengthways without the guard. Add scallions, sesame seeds, and silvered almonds.

Almond Butter Turmeric Dressing
- 1/4 cup almond butter
- 1 cup water
- 2 lemons, juiced
- 2 tbsp fresh grated ginger
- 2 tsp turmeric
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Turmeric Dressing
- 4 cloves garlic
- ¼ c plus 2 T olive (or avocado) oil
- 3 T lemon juice
- 2 t honey
- 2 t turmeric
- ½ t Dijon
- 3 T hemp seeds, S & P
Mustard Vinaigrette
- 4-5 T apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
- 2 T maple syrup
- ¼ c extra virgin olive oil
- 1 t Dijon mustard
- S & P
Creamy Balsamic Dressing
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Creamy Italian Dressing
- 1/3 cup avocado
- 1/2 cup dairy free milk
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp dijon mustarrd
- 2 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
Sesame Ginger Asian Dressing
- 1/3 cup tahini
- 3 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 3 tbsp coconut aminos
- 1/3 cup water
- 2 tbsp fresh grated ginger
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
Hazelnut Caesar dressing
- 1/3 cup hazelnuts
- 2- cloves garlic
- 3/4 cup cashew nuts (soaked 1 hr in 1 ½ cup water and drained)
- 2 fresh lemon juice and zest
- 2 T. capers
- 1 T apple cider vinegar
- Sea salt & freshly ground black pepper
- Water for consistancy
Pre-soak nuts for 1 hr. Drain and blend all ingredients. Try this Kale Caesar Salad with Hazelnuts and Butternut Squash.
Chipotle Ranch Dressing
- 1 cup raw cashews (pre-soaked)
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp garlic powder – or 2 tbsp olive oil + 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp dried chives
- 1 tsp Chipotle Powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp dried dill
Creamy Avocado Cilantro
- 2 small avocados
- 2 limes
- ½ c nut milk
- ½ c water
- ¼ c cilantro
- 1 ½ t garlic powder
- 1 t salt
- ½ t cumin
