Dancing with Hannah

Moving your body regularly is key to healthy digestion, and also is a powerful way to allow emotions to move through you.  Dance, in particular, is unique among other forms of exercise in that it involves personal expression in relation to the healing potency of music.  In addition to the movement and music, being part of a community dance class is another way to boost serotonin and increase feelings of happiness and well-being.

If those benefits weren’t enough, studies show learning dance choreography does more to protect your brain from degenerative disease than any other form of exercise.

There are opportunities to join my group dance classes online (Zoom), in a studio (San Rafael and Point Richmond CA), and outdoors (in warmer months).

Private instruction, workshops, and dance parties are also available.

 

 

Belly Dance Fusion Classes

Move every part of you in a fun and feminine way through “Shimmy & Shine” fusion belly dance classes with Hannah Romanowsky! Join me for an eclectic, heart-warming blend of world music and dance.  You will learn belly dance techniques and choreography, Turkish, Persian, Moroccan, Bollywood, Fusion, and more – Romanza Dance style. Some dance experience is helpful,  but beginners are warmly welcomed!

Virtual and Studio Dance Private Lessons with Hannah

Expand your dance skills at a faster rate with private coaching. Develop a choreography to add to your performance repertoire. Practice dance fundamentals, learn belly dance Persian dance, or other dances from the Middle East and Silk Road.

Dancing in the Park

Belly Dance & Traditional Circle Dances (outdoors, seasonal, weather permitting)

This class is on hold until spring/summer.

This class celebrates traditional dances from Morocco, Egypt, the Arabian Peninsula, Iraq, Turkey, the Balkans, Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India, and beyond. Tap into the ancient human legacy of dance, nourishing your spirit and gaining a deeper appreciation and understanding of cultures far and near. Woven through class will be a musical journey through space and time, with stories of women’s dance, communities, and cultures of the Middle East, Silk Road, and beyond. The dance circle will take place at a park in Marin County CA.
